Technical Product Owner (Portugal, Hybrid)

As a Technical Product Owner, you will help build bridges between the Engineering Team, our Business Partners at Daimler Truck, and other teams working on the same remit, while also supporting the development team to deliver reliable, high-quality digital products. 
 
In your day-to-day work, you’ll be the roadmap owner for the team you work with, acting as the one responsible for evaluating opportunities and determining what gets built and delivered to end users. As a result, you will be expected to help your team find alternative solutions to solve problems, as well as celebrating and recognizing their achievements.  
 
A stable, high-quality product is the entire team's responsibility, but as a Technical Product Owner, you are responsible for building evolving products, and you might need to use different approaches to manage different situations. You will be the main person guiding the development team in the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing Epics, talking with Business Partners, supporting the definition of the product vision, and working closely with engineering. 
  
Every team has its own rituals. You will have regular syncs with your team, to organize tasks, and to help them work through possible blockers or dependencies. At tb.lx, we always support each other. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:   
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT Project Delivery, Product Ownership or a similar role;  
  • The ability to analyze delivery and requirement-related data to identify risks, gaps, and trends, to provide actionable insights to improve project performance;
  • A solid technical understanding to collaborate effectively with tb.lx engineering on team deliverables;
  • A strong focus on engineering team delivery flow, prioritizing backlogs, monitoring execution and on-time outputsover full product strategy ownership;
  • Proven documentation and knowledge-sharing skills, collaborating with others to develop key references and tools for project alignment. This includes items such as roadmaps, processes, handover docs, and more; 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills for hybrid, multi-stream coordinationand the proactive management of tight deadlines; 
  • Excellent communication skills, and ease with managing stakeholderof different levels and backgrounds;
  • Solid problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, enabling you to easily handle ambiguity and change;
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies – Kanban, Scrum, etc. – and familiarity with guidelines, best practices within these methodologies;
  • Experience with deep trade-off thinking when reviewing technical decisions;
  • Experience working in a feedback and knowledge-sharing driven culture;
  • A passion for understanding people, conflicts, and the solutions needed to solve them;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
 
NICE-TO-HAVE:  
  • Experience managing dynamic projects and/or products in alignment with the Product Lifecycle;
  • Experience in user research;
  • Experience working with B2B products and/or other digital platforms;  
  • Experience in UX/UI design;
  • Written and spoken German is a plus.
