Hey there,
Welcome to tb.lx – we are building sustainable transportation solutions in a hybrid work setup. Join us - we are looking for you!
As a Data Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimising data-driven applications that drive meaningful outcomes. You’ll be part of our Quality Management (QM) department, that operates one of the most fascinating data ecosystems within the global group we work with, tackling challenges that span from analysing the reasons vehicles fail in the field, to assessing the quality of parts during production.
You’ll be deeply involved in implementing new use cases that empower stakeholders with actionable insights. Additionally, you’ll contribute to enhancing our digital solution for collecting, evaluating, and autonomously monitoring production and data quality from suppliers, enabling users to gain impactful, real-time insights.
In this role, you will focus on building end-to-end solutions to balance technical excellence with business priorities. You will develop an application that empowers business-critical stakeholders as the group that will require this data and application, to drive smarter decision-making and impactful outcomes. Your engineering expertise will guide the team in adopting best practices, creating maintainable and efficient codebases, and delivering scalable solutions.
On a day-to-day basis, as part of our QM Data Analytics team, you will play a critical role in advancing our data analytics tools and driving our digitization strategy forward. This team is at the forefront of innovation, working on exciting projects such as expanding and rolling out our new platform for data analytics and applications.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

- Proficiency in SQL and database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL solutions);
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka;
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP;
- Experience in requirements engineering. This person will need to feel comfortable with close collaboration with business users;
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience with the full Palantir Foundry tech stack;
- Knowledge of agile frameworks, or an understanding of software development life cycle models, as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and best practices;
- Familiarity and confidence in refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques;
- Experience with TypeScript;
- Experience around the digitisation of processes;
- Proficiency in written and spoken German.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…
- You are motivated by working on impactful products;
- You thrive working in a real hybrid work setting;
